Third) it is half-heartedly acknowledged as truth and the same people who were ridiculed in phases one and two are told they should move on and stop making a big deal of it

This is each their final year of eligibility so they would both have to apply for a medical. If anything, I would say that Rising has the better chance due to having to sit out 2019 while other QB’s were given a waiver.
Kuithe played every possible game from 2018 through his injury in 2022, 4 1/3 years. Rising has played 2 years and one quarter…[Read more]

By my math, normal return window would then be mid-November to mid-January. Expectations of a return to competition at any point during camp, the 5 games already played, or even this weekend would have been unrealistic given the nature of the injury.
If the surgery was performed on January 25, we are still roughly 6 weeks short of the low range.

Utah doesn’t have any Wide Receivers on the roster. They have:
Inline Tight Ends
Slot Tight Ends
Tight Ends who split out wide
Tight Ends who play the H -

CAL has played 3 different QB’s this season. Apparently it is a huge strategic advantage to make your opponent prepare for multiple QB’s so I’m not sure how Utah will be able to cope.,,

That is specifically what the people who you are telling don’t know what they are talking about have been saying for weeks.

It’s not even the first time Cristobal has done that. While at Oregon in 2018, he had a late lead against Stanford and instead of kneeling it out, had Verdell take a carry. Verdell fumbled, Stanford kicked a field goal to send it into overtime and the got the only score to win.

Challenge accepted!
Record following losses excluding 2023 and all end of season losses w/o a follow up game until the next season: 43-26 (.621). Whitt’s overall winning % is .678 so it is a fallacy that his teams perform better after a loss. Of those wins, 5 came in bowl games, two were against FCS schools and the end of the season game…[Read more]

He needed to take advantage of his ops now that they’ve resigned Taylor.

No confusion at all. This is a place for all opinions, or at least I think it is.
In my eyes it’s completely ignorant to say the coaches were “wrong” for not picking up a transfer.
That is your opinion. Mine is different. You have your reasons and I have mine. All we know is what happened and to reiterate from my above, neither of us ca…[Read more]

There are two Whitt’s. There is the game is close until the 4th quarter or Utah has the lead. And then there is behind in the 4th quarter Whitt.
4th quarter Whitt allows an largely untested backup with 7 career passing attempts take over in the 4th quarter against Baylor and throw 5 passes on the game tying drive. Ludwig doesn’t change his…[Read more]

I swore to myself that I would let this go. But since I’ve never let anything go in my life, let me tell you a story about just 1 of the QB’s on that list you aren’t impressed by.
After the 2021 season, a kid named Jack Plummer entered the transfer portal. In three years at Purdue, he had your typical backup QB stats. Usually didn’t play…[Read more]

And imagine how good anyone on that list would become once the QB Whisperer got his hands on them. After what he did with Huntley in 2019, he can make any scrub all-conference 🙂

Top 4 transfers still available in May 2023
7 Under the radar transfers for 2023
If you include Rising, 10 of the 12 PAC starters are transfers and only Caleb Williams wasn’t considered a bust or a reclamation project. Roughly 70% nationally of all QB starters are transfers. They can’t all have been in the Heisman…[Read more]

shouldn’t that also apply to the OP? The “no one would dare challenge Rising” trope has passed it’s expiration date.

I’m going to need you to stop posting on this thread. Your recognition of the quality of Utah’s defense is not appreciated when it is obvious that wholesale changes MUST BE MADE NOW!

2008 National Champ replied to the topic USC's Defense is a Dumpster Fire in the forum Football 1 year, 10 months ago
That is a coaching decision. Meyer wanted to attack in all phases of the game. Whitt, even though he learned under Edwards, believes in a stifling defense, great special teams, and an offense that doesn’t make mistakes. In that respect he’s more Woody Hayes than a modern head coach, “three things can happen when you pass the ball and two of…[Read more]

Welcome to the season 🙂
The explanation is coaching and play calling. WSU calls a lot of quick plays to the flats so that they can open up their vertical pass game. OSU showed that they were susceptible to that approach. I didn’t watch the CAL game but they have Jake Spavital calling plays who you might remember from the Jared Goff years.…[Read more]
