Great points Red Rocks. I agree that open mindedness and tolerance can go a long way, and I would add that patience and kindness with each other is also paramount in order to keep this a place people want to keep coming to. That said, I actually really appreciate that people can express dissenting views here as well. Some fans believe next year will be great, some fans believe next year is likely to be average (I’m in the latter group), but I like that it’s just not a giant echo chamber and is a place where Utah fans can express skepticism alongside optimism.

Utah has a history of being able to leverage their own experience and toughness against more talented teams. *IF* Utah stays healthy I think we can win every game. Will we? I’d give it almost no chance of happening, but assuming Chris Peterson stays retired there are no games on the schedule where it’s a likely loss. Of all the teams that make me nervous, all but Baylor are at home.

It’s not THAT bad around here. I kinda think a little dust-up here and there add some spice to a message board, but then again i am pretty quick to forgive and forget, so I don’t get offended easily. That is good for me, but maybe bad for others. I’ll try to be a little more considerate.

It’s a testament to how much goodwill the program has built, because based on the body of work of our team recently there is absolutely no reason for us to even break the 30s, possibly the 40s. I’m optimistic that we can end the season ranked higher.

I tried to sponsor last year, but I assume my offer was declined because I sell beer.

I think this is a very fair point. The post Majerus era has been brutal 95% of the time. It would be crushing to see something similar in football. I think that is where Utah fans are really lucky to have somebody like Scalley standing in the wings though. We can’t say that he will for sure be successful, but I think it’s more likely than not. He has such deep Utah ties, so much family here, and stands to make so much money over the next 20 years that I really think it’s more likely that he would stay than leave. Probably much more likely.

I understand what you are saying. To me – it seems that the fire does not burn inside KW as it once did. I could be wrong. I hate how Kyle handled the QB issues the last few years. I think he failed in 1. Getting a solid backup ready to play and 2. The weekly drama was handled very poorly IMO. 3. As the coach, he should not have let the locker room become a disaster.
