I’ve never understood the USC hate. Seems like petty jealousy to me. USC was a big proponent of Utah getting a Big Ten invite last year and will lobby for us getting in later – same with Oregon.

A 100% blocked artery causing chest pain is not to be taken lightly. I’m not a doctor but I’m pretty sure it’s not like replacing a clogged radiator hose.

Once you get into conference play, the prime slots on the big networks will be filled with Big Ten and SEC games. I don’t see a lot of difference between playing on minor linear channels and streaming on ESPN+. Either way, the exposure will be meager.

Individual stats when playing for a bad team don’t mean you’re a good player. If the 1280 gang thinks that Singer isn’t the best receiver, they don’t know football or are being disingenuous to please their BYU listeners. Same goes for any player on that horrendous BYU defense.

According to the 60 in 60, BYU has the best offensive lineman (Pay), the best cornerback (Robinson),the best defensive end (Batty) and 2 wide receivers (Lassiter and Roberts) that are better than anyone Utah had.

Nobody, absolutely nobody, not Whit, not Tramel, not the CEO of Disney or Fox know the future of college football. Too much depends on forces that are not completely predictable. The courts will have their say, state and national government will influence matters and the presidents of influential schools will certainly weigh in.

I upvote any post that doesn’t use the name of the new conference. It’s like not saying the name of the team down south.

I’m drinking the Koolaid because it’s more fun than holding back – simple as that. Sports fans are supposed to be gullible dupes. We get emotionally attached to our team, not logically attached. I hear people say they won’t go all in because they’re afraid of being laughed at if the Utes disappoint. Why live in fear, don’t worry be happy.

I see things very differently on the offensive line. This UNIT has been set since Spring ball and have been working together as a UNIT all Fall Camp. The venture was clearly anti-competitive and would have given even more power to the companies that have ruined college football. If you think ESPN and Fox are your friends, think again.

I would start making inquiries now. I’ve had mine since July 10th.

I hate recruiting. If it weren’t so colossally important to the success of the program I would shun it like I shun the presidential election.
