  • Exactly my point Hoban. Some see it as weird and abnormal. Others see it as normal based on your religion. Neither right or wrong.

  • My wife was also told the same by 3 or 4 different students at BYU. Her BYU experience chased her away from the church. Religion should never be discussed on a sports fan board. An outsider looking in (me) or an insider looking out (Holladay Ute) opinions differ in your personal perspectives and beliefs. We are all Ute fans and let’s keep r…[Read more]

  • Thanks for posting interview. He sounds like Sitake jr. He made the right choice for him. $$ and religion imagine that. He gave us 3 years and is a well spoken athlete. I wish him the best.

  • An experienced O line can pick up blitzes and give the QB some big play opportunities. Throw a running QB in the mix and this offense may not have to throw much. I’m excited about the offense this year. Just need to stay healthy.

Even 40 years ago I would see McMahon with a beer and wonder how he got away with it. LE could have got in big trouble had he got caught not reporting him to the HC. My wife attended BYU in that same time frame and she went to lots of parties with alcohol and drugs. Lots of football players. That was going on and she got turned in to the HC for a…[Read more]

I agree proud Ute. My point is they turned a blind eye on the HC when McMahon was clearly breaking it. The HC violations are kept in house for a reason. The JR case was national news and therefore had to be enforced. If the lawsuit was not filed Jake would be the starting QB. You can’t tell me players don’t get caught occasionally having sex and…[Read more]

If you’re winning and gaining national attention (McMahon era) that trumps values. If your losing (Crowton era) values matter. As long as BYU is winning the donors will continue their support.

Utahs success in football for the past 20+ years has been hard for BYU and their fans. As a long term (old) Utah football fan I know exactly how it f…[Read more]

  • Alex has the street cred to recruit top players. We just need to fill the Huntsman and provide the atmosphere to help him close the deals.

The pro game has transferred to college now. Alex gets it and what kid with NBA aspirations wouldn’t want to play for him. I haven’t been this excited about Utah basketball since the Bogut days.

“Show me the money” will rule college FB and BB until the courts or congress (haha) intervene and put some guidelines on this madness. As previously mentioned above coaches are in a no win situation. Culture and player development only sets you up for failure. It only works if you have the money to keep your developed players.

    It won’t be long…[Read more]

  • This roster is looking good! By far the most athletic team the Utes have had in years. AJ is tuned in and knows exactly how he wants the team to look. First time in years I’m excited for BB season. This team has a Houston feel to it. AJ will develop these athletes into team and role players.

  • Unfortunately there is no salary cap or restrictions on free agents in college. Can imagine what the NBA would look like if the same rules applied.

  • Has Smith and Ainge run the Jazz into the ground? Tanking two years in a row for a 14% chance of getting a potential superstar seems a big risk. Indiana is proving that you don’t need 2 or 3 superstars to win. Sloan is rolling over in his grave. SGA is a developmental superstar. The pacers and thunder are winning with up tempo offense and lock d…[Read more]

  • So often something happens to keep us grounded on what is most important in life. Thoughts and prayers to Baylor nation.

  • Tony I think the core of the problem is putting religious shame on women for having normal desires. Resulting in guilt and shame after the fact. No means no reguardless of religion or any other excuse. It’s a no win situation for everyone involved and Utah State has had the same issues in the past. Utah State got mocked for addressing the p…[Read more]

  • In this day and age all jerseys should say “show me the money”.

Let’s keep politics out of Ute hub. If you want to bash progressives or conservatives just go to your preferred news channel to justify your opinions.

Sports should unite us and give us a break from the divide that exists. Maybe we as fans should wear peace ☮️ and love jerse…[Read more]

Worst thing about NIL is has bought (not brought) cougar fans out of the closet. Fo sure.

The past two years have been hard to watch. Injuries, poor coaching decisions, NIL, transfer portal, late games and escalating ticket prices have tapped me out. First time since the early 70’s I did not renew my season tickets.

It has been a phenomenal run for me. Going with my dad then my daughter and my grandkids. The lows then highs have b…[Read more]

  • One factor that doesn’t show up on the depth chart is leadership and work ethic. This team will be much different than the past two years. Hard to be a leader when you’re hurt (Rising). Dampier by all accounts is a proven leader and has accepted his leader role on this team. Snowden Barton Fano Johnson all good leaders on defense. Add on the dis…[Read more]

  • Thanks for the list. Starting offensive line looks really solid. Tight ends could be good if Andrew’s is as good as advertised. The rest are unfamiliar names and have had success with previous teams so 🤞. WR and depth look suspect.

Defense looks pretty solid at most positions. Linebackers, nickel and safety’s look really good. Good speed on the…[Read more]

Can you imagine Sloan being told to tank. He would resign. What’s the analytics of the Jazz winning an NBA title? Put the best team on the floor every night and try and win every game. The goal should be to make the playoffs every year and let the chips fall.
