ParticipantWe had abysmal QB play and still only lost by 1 score or less in 5 games.
Iowa St 3 points
ASU 8 points
TCU 6 points
BYU 1 point
Houston 3 pointsThen Az by 13 and Colorado by 25
I would argue that with even a slight offensive improvement we win most of those losses, so if you want reasons to think positive, then look at how awful our O was and how close our games still were.
I see our offense improving quite a bit from last year, if our D stays solid(with Whitt and Scalley, I don’t see a huge drop off), then we should look forward to a fun year. Last year was the exception, not the norm. Obviously we could end being awful, but no reason to assume that at this point.

ParticipantNo update, but mindless thoughts should be your title.

ParticipantIt’s everyone. This team doesn’t look prepared and doesn’t look interested. From coaches to players there is no fight. The tackling is awful, the play calling is awful, the effort is awful. There isn’t one thing impressive about this team right now.
I can deal with having an 18 year old at QB(although I’m not sure how we don’t have a better option for this year), but I can’t deal with the pathetic effort everywhere else on the field. This team looks pathetic and I am usually a pretty positive/optimistic fan.

ParticipantResorting to childish name calling instead of a constructive conversation is something I would expect a Trump Cuck to do.
You guys get very defensive when Dear Leader is talked about negatively.
Btw, I have 0 issue with whatever way anybody leans, politically. I can appreciate both sides depending on the issue. What I haven’t found yet though is a MAGA that is capable of a rational conversation.

ParticipantTrump doesn’t care about you or I(or any other American) unless it involves lining his own pockets.

ParticipantAgreed, but who said they were great?

ParticipantI loved Bernard, but he got up hobbled on a regular basis. Not injured to the point he was missing games, but there was noticeable limping etc.
Parker had few carries and averaged more per carry and had the same amount of TDs.
Like I said in my first post, having a passing game is going to be the best help to the run game. If we can pass the ball the run game is going to open up and Parker will be the main recipient of that. Parker was also just a freshman last season.

ParticipantI disagree. Adding Parker changes that RB room a lot, but also adding Dampier and the threat of a passing game will open the run game up. Bernard was injured a lot and didn’t have any help from a passing threat so teams could load the box against us last season.

ParticipantNo, “losers” use personal attacks and refuse to listen to anything or anyone that disagrees with them or that has a different opinion than them. They intimidate or attack because they don’t really know what they are arguing, but they “know” the other side is wrong.
It’s ok to have a difference of opinion on a subject. What’s not ok, is attacking those people just because they don’t agree with you.

ParticipantI love Bernard, that wasn’t a shot against him. But our Oline has been pretty disappointing in both run and pass blocking up to this point. They are young though, so I have hope, but our team has not been impressive team we heard about all offseason.
