Houston… Houston was also part of the SWC and they had some really good teams in the 70s under Bill Yeoman. In fact, I saw them win the conference title a couple of times and go to the Cotton Bowl.

Never underestimate the allure of a big name. Sometimes I think that a lot of the voters would prefer the same 10 teams be ranked at the top.

True…but those 45 points came against something called Tarleton State. Baylor’s TD was a freak play in the sense that it was a perfect play call for the defense Utah had on the field.

I meant numerically speaking, but I will say that it wouldn’t surprise me if Utah State ended up being better than Baylor.

I can already tell that Utah better come to play next Saturday. Barnes and Utah State’s offense is better than anyone they’ve played against this season.

You’d like to think so but watch USC and Miami jump over Utah after big wins.

On any given Saturday…I’m scared to death that Barnes will play out of his mind next weekend and Wilson, well, Wilson will play like he has during the first two games of the season. The Aggies are going to come out swinging and it could be a trap game.

Maybe so… however, other than the first drive, the offense was looking pretty ragged even with Rising in the game. I will admit that you can almost physically see the air going out of the offense when Rising is not in the game.
