I wonder how many of these players have no intentions on leaving but join the portal to get more NIL from their current team?

I think when people were saying “pay the players” they were expecting some sort of contract or that teams would have salary caps. I was never the one to say “pay the players”. Not because I didn’t want it, but I knew it would change the sport I loved drastically.

I’d like to think that they likely sat Cam down and said that he’s welcome to stay but they cannot offer the same NIL deal and no guaranteed starting job.

which I guess can be the good and bad about college football now. We could easily go out and get a good QB in the transfer portal with Cam’s NIL money. Whats troubling is that Whitt said its up to Cam if he wants to come back.

I lost interest in the NBA when players started sitting out to demand a trade. IDK how you can be passionate about a team when those types of things are going on. Sadly, we are already seeing it in college sports as well.

Its hard to say what the cause is because of the well known lack of transparency. BUT it seems like a lot of these injuries happen in practice.
