I will believe it when I see it.

The only thing I’ve heard is that the coaches have placed a value on position groups, and the NIL people basically stick to what the coaches are saying we should spend for those position groups based on needs. I’m guessing they make exceptions for higher level players if/when they can. But, I’m not an insider so what do I know?

Given the “we don’t want to become pay for play” comment made by one of the church higher ups, I’m certain all athletes are asked by the AD to not mention money as being a reason for choosing BYU, or to at least downplay money as being a reason.

I agree they need to do something, but I have zero faith they actually will do anything of any consequence.

Good point, but billionaires typically have more than just one billion dollars. And it’s not like their fortunes are just sitting stagnant. They continue to grow their wealth, whether it be from their business ventures, investments, or simply from accruing interest. Unless they are paying tens of millions of dollars in NIL each year, they aren’t going to be in danger of running out any time soon.

Since the Davies suspension, BYU has made a concerted effort to handle honor code violations in private unless the violation is made public through some other means. I have heard that part of this shift in honor code enforcement has resulted in lighter consequences for athletes. In other words, they sweep what they can under the rug.

Wisconsin is scheduled to play @ Rice-Eccles in 2033. The Nevada game looks like it is a one game agreement; I don’t see any other future games scheduled between Utah and Nevada.

If the accused is exonerated, then yeah, I could see naming the accuser. But to have to have your name attached to the accusation as the victim, when you have done nothing wrong, that would be terrible and prevent a lot of legitimate victims from coming forward.

I won’t be surprised if we learn it is set up by a BYU fan and they are playing the long game to eventually post some awful stuff in an attempt to make Utah look bad.

Admonishes someone for name calling, immediately resorts to name calling. 🙄🤪🤣

And the irony of accusing Trump of lining his own pockets after what Biden and his family have done. (Chef’s kiss)
