based on stats from 2 prior games (not really enough to be super reliable)
vs ISU 45-10
at usc utes win 30-27
wsu utes lose 33-26
OSU utes win 24-15
cal utes win 25-17
wash utes win 28-21
ucla utes win 37-10
ua Utes win 43-31
colorado utes win 34-31
The pac 12 is ours for the taking. We have all the pieces to make it great. 8-1 with a loss to wash st will get us in the champ game probably against either wash st or Oregon.
WAY too early guess…
We take 2 out of 4 from USC, Wazzou, Cal & Washington
Tack on one WTF loss out of the other 5 (maybe ASU)
End up with 3 losses and tied for the South
Winner of USC/Utah gets the tie-breaker
If we go to the championship game we’ll have a better shot than we did last year at going to the Rose Bowl
No Pac12 team ends up undefeated/ no playoff this year
Downvotes…ouch. That’s OK. I get it.
If it makes you guys feel better, I didn’t see 2008 coming at all, so what do I know? This is just my gut-feel. I’ve never coached or even played football, but I do invest about 14 hours watching it on Saturdays so I can at least compare it to everything else I’ve seen out there. We are VERY strong this year, but we’re also not Clemson and the ACC. We have too much parity in our conference not to expect a couple of losses. I HOPE we go undefeated or end up with a single loss, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Just my opinion.
Go Utes!

Looks like Massey is pretty close. Has us losing to USC and Washington. Wazzou is a 56% chance of winning so maybe that’s the 3rd loss?
The Pac12 may miss the playoffs again, but there’s no tougher conference top to bottom. It’s a weekly gauntlet for every team. There are no let-up games (after this week).
What about ASU?
ASU I have utes win 31-14
