Game is on now, on FOX. Daniels looks a little bigger. Fun to watch some Pac-12 football even though we’re not playing. Too bad both teams can’t lose this game, but I guess I’d rather see USC lose.

ASU and USC are loaded with athletes. Both teams looking a little rusty as expected for the first game.

USC’s D line is starting to gash ASU.

Yeah. I was wondering about ASU’s O line to start the season. Supposedly they brought in some good transfers. So far I’m unimpressed.

SC’s offense is looking impressive. I hope our first game isn’t against them.

One Things Ive noticed after watching the BYU game last night. Is just how much bigger and faster pac-12 Comp is. If BYU played one decent mid level pac team they would be exposed. Easily.

I’ve noticed the same things. BYU and the team’s they are playing just don’t have the “eye test” of speed and athleticism. It’s easy to notice it when I have so intensely paid attention to both Utah and their pac12 opponents. BYU can be physical and does have some size however. I’ll give them that. Their oline definitely has some big boys. Also, I wasn’t impressed with Boise St in their two previous victories, they, too lack that overwhelming speed and athleticism, and they lack the physical size and strength p5 teams have.

This is true. I was young in the 90s when I first started watching college football and I wondered why our Utes didn’t seem as fast as the blue bloods I’d see on highlight reels. Big difference in natural speed.

Tides have turned.  ASU looking good.  Now up 24-14 but all their DB’s are starting to cramp up.  Could be interesting.
