  My guess is it stings particularly because it’s another OC job. Being a coordinator at BYU can’t get you an HC gig even if you have the best offense in 15 years.

    I think it stings mostly because he’s leaving for the same position. If BYU would pay their coaches more, they’d be able to keep them.

      To be fair, their offense got way better under Grimes. When Detmer was there, they were one of the worst offenses in the country.

    I think their logic will be Roderick was really the one running the show so Grimes is getting out while he can.

  I liked Grimes as an offensive coordinator. I thought he played to the strengths of his players and was quite innovative in his play calling. I think this will hurt the Cougs.

      I like A-Rod. He’s a good guy. I appreciated his dedication to the program when he was here.
