Is TA’s poor freethrow shooting enough of a liability to keep him off the court in situations like today? He had the chance to ice the game but missed 3 FTs and forced a bad pass that ended in a turnover. Are his other abilities enough to counter act poor ft shooting and bad decision making? Obviously he is really good and a team leader but does LK consider benching him when we need to shoot FTs in crunch time.

I wonder if that’s why they are having him inbound the ball, so he’s not the one that gets fouled? That’s not working well either.

Allen is not the best but is in the 70s, actually better than Jones, he had a bad night. Carlson is in the 50s and should be out at crunch time. Larsson is automatic in the 90s, Battin, Jantunen, and Martinez are all in the 80s. I don’t expect to see that much awkwardness in a short stretch for a while. I think we realize we need a plan for the crunch when Jones is out. I was also a bit relieved that Cal didn’t press more with Jones out, must not be preferred by them.

it was obvious that Allen was trying to inbound heball to Larsson. He did that 2 times in a row, the question is why did  Larsson pass the ball back to Allen both those times isntead of allowing  Cal to foul him?

Because, coaching. A smart coach would tell the team to get the ball to Larsson and let him get fouled.  Almost a guaranteed 2 points.

Absolutely. When you have a 90% free throw shooter, everything possible should be done to force the other team to foul him to stop the clock. Required strategy for Jr Jazz and above.
