Bad news: I just don’t see Utah in the mix. In light of the circumstances this team is dealing with, it’s really not important bad news.
The on-the-field issues aren’t the issues this team is dealing with anymore. And it’s strange to me that some folks seem to be under the impression a bye week is sufficient time for this team to deal with a real-life crisis.
What’s important is locating and prosecuting Aaron Lowe’s murderer(s) and really nothing else. No amount of sentiment to dedicate on-the-field play to #22 glosses over the high probability that members of this football team were present during the altercation at the party and are now part of an active murder investigation.
I’m sick of gun violence in this country and Aaron needs justice and his family needs justice and retribution – not wins in honor of his memory. And it wouldn’t surprise me if football (let alone winning) is nowhere near the front of many of our players minds.

I’m watching the UCLA – ASU game and I just don’t see how we can beat either.

Sorry I’ve been so negative but both teams look fast and multi functional. It’s going to take a miracle to beat them.

The good news is we have both at hone and we definitely play better at home so I guess there’s that.

Really, neither one of them looks like world beaters to me.  I am seeing bad defense and turnovers and special teams mistakes.

How’s that any different than what we’ve done this year, other than ASU and UCLA look to have more raw talent?

It’s not different than any year really.  The woes me attitude that is permiating the fan base is troubling because it is the Pac12, anything can happen week to week.  The Utes have not exactly looked good this year but I for one will wait to lose before proclaiming these teams will roll the Utes before a down of football is played.

We can only judge on our body of work. So far, that isn’t good. Hopefully we improve.

Agreed on the hope of improvement but I am not willing to concede defeat to teams that have losses to BYU and Fresno this season before lining up.

I’m afraid I don’t see us beating Oregon State either 🙁

This conference is a MESS this year.

If I’m Whitt I’m paying very close attention to each student athlete. With only 4 games played so far- I could call it a season and let everybody red shirt and return next year. Obviously the team mates, leaders and captains will say they want to play, and they want to play for #22, but if their head isn’t in the classroom or at practice, the seasons over.
