  That seemed to be a crucial point in the game, unfortunately. I don’t know why we tried so many lateral moving runs when straight ahead worked better, and passing worked better than both.

    I hoped after it failed miserably against Byu-Provo in 2007 that Ludwig would have thrown that play away. Guess not.
    
    The triple reverse defeats the whole purpose of the play design. It essentially runs the play right back to the pursuit. Not only did it ruin the drive, but led to the blocked punt and shifted the momentum.
