On September 18th we were beaten in the trenches by SDSU. Most of us including me – thought “Here we go again.” Many wanted Harding fired. OnlyU had told us that the Oline would be good. We even began to doubt OnlyU. Our Oline became a strength on this team.
Our defense played less than stellar even up to the first half of the ASU game. The young defense started to come together under the leadership of Lloyd. A new superstar began to emerge in Cole Bishop.
Obviously, Rising made a huge difference and once Tavion got past the fumbelitist issues – he emerged as RBi. Ludwig started to play more and more 3 tight end sets. The opposition did not know how to handle it.
Our team started to gain confidence and started to play like a conference champion. On September 18 – we were not a very good team. Now we are playing like one of the best teams in Ute football history.
It has been a fun season. Nothing we can do about the three losses now. It is what it is. Now, there is one more important game to go.
