Meh, anytime people have to plan and commit to something long in advance things are going to come up, people bow-out you thought were all-in, etc. That is why airlines get away with overbooking and plan on around 5% cancellation/no-show. For this case where there was a limited window for buying tickets with Crimson Club level, and some may have bought extra counting on reselling some tickets, some hoping for profit, the effect is even greater.
Sure, it’s no big deal… but we won’t have 60k at the game. It’s too bad that people over bought. I think the high price from the high demand scared many fans away from getting in on the action.
When people try to hock their extra tickets a week before the game people that otherwise would have been willing and able to buy no longer can because there is no time to make the proper arrangements.
There are only 843 listings on Utah Tickets section of KSL (and those aren’t all for Rose Bowl). I know there are some folks who over-bought. Hell, I have extra tix. But overall we’re probably not talking that many total tickets in limbo.
I know a lot of people trying to dump tix they bought in the OSU sections. If there’s anything noticeably sparse in the stadium, it will be in the OSU sections.
