Jon “Jon Jon” Johnson, son of Jerome Johnson (Okla 1982-83 and USU 1984-85 basketball), transferred in from Nouthwestern Oklahoma State where he was on the football team in 2020 but their season was cancelled due to COVID. His brother, Nate, Freshman QB, is also a Utah newcomer. Jon played for Clovis HS in Clovis, CA (Fresno area), his senior year he had 22 carries for 96 yds and 2 TDs. Film looks like a large individual with strong legs who can also catch passes out of the backfield. Scout team player, seems to me, until, and unless he can prove himself at this level. Does anyone know anything more about this guy?
