Look, I get that we’ve given up some big plays which is not typical. But this D is a good squad. A guy on the train tonight told me that our D struggled and that we let “Stanfords QB run all over us and he’s not even a running QB”. The dude had one rush for 9 yards. AND we kept them under 200 yards.
Statistically this defense has been better than most against weaker teams. It is has failed really against the 5-6 high level skill guys. Since that second half of the $UC game they have been phenomenal. It has mostly been that Scalley has had to send 5-6 to pressure the qb. It just doesn’t get it done with four like we have been used to in the past.
