Utah heads to Pasadena for the second straight season, while Penn State makes its first Rose Bowl appearance in six years. Opt-outs likely will be minimal, although Penn State will miss star cornerback Joey Porter Jr. against Utah’s passing game. Penn State is poised for a big 2023 season with a lot of key players returning, but this will be the final game as a Nittany Lion for quarterback Sean Clifford and he’ll play well. But I can’t pick against Utah and quarterback Cam Rising, who missed most of last year’s game with an injury. Rising and tight end Dalton Kincaid lead the Utes on a late touchdown drive to rally for the win.
Prediction: Utah 31, Penn State 28.
