Harlan said that the Baylor game will likely be a non-conference game in 2024 and the BYU game will definitely be a conference game. He said it is very difficult to find a replacement game with this short notice.
Hopefully they move the tds game to the end of the season.
Oregon state, Washington state, cal, Stanford…
You know, with so much conference switching, the teams ought to just put up listings on a personals board. I’m sure there are plenty of hookups that can be made.
Harlan’s either lying, lazy, or dumb. I looked up teams with openings on their schedule shortly after we accepted the BigXII invite, and there were something like 20 schools with openings that match the current dates we have scheduled for Baylor and BYU.
Why not keep BU as a non-conf game?
This is a good idea. Baylor is bad and it’s a home game. Doesn’t matter if they’re in the Big 12 tbh
Baylor will probably be better next year. Their O-line will be more experienced and I’m pretty sure they will return all of their best WR’s. Their secondary should be more experienced too. We will also be breaking in a new QB.
Just as long as the byu game is at RES.
The last two have been down south. They don’t deserve 3 in a row
Whatever happened to Never.Play.Them.Again!
Larry Scott, George K, USC, and UCLA happened to never play them again. That’s what happened. I would have preferred the Pac12 stay together and never play them again, but that option did not come to fruition.
Maybe we only play them if they give up more of their conference $$ share. That way Utah gets compensated for the disrespect of playing them again. (TIC)
