  It’s probably been 5 – 10 years since I’ve watched an NBA game. Looking at the scores in the playoffs over the last few years and it’s just disgusting. It’s like the WWE 35 years ago – entertaining yes, but just popular, hot garbage. Too much $$ has ruined the NBA, hopefully it doesn’t destroy football as much.

  Statistics killed basketball also.
  Teams realized it’s better to shoot threes and ignore the rest.

    Shooting 3’s and I would add getting to the free throw line. In the process they’ve de-emphasized the most athletic parts of the game and made the game boring by stopping constantly. The mid range fade away and post players going at each other is less emphasized. I’ve watched games where they did 1 pass or less each time up the court and shot three for 7 possessions in a row. So dumb.

  Stopped watching the NBA when Stockton retired. Haven’t missed it at all.
