I voted 9-3 and I’m probably more comfortable with 8-4. I’m still pretty uncomfortable with Issac Wilson as the backup. I hope he takes a step forward and proves me wrong. Hopefully Dampier stays healthy but as mobile as he is it’s not unrealistic to expect him to miss a game or two. Regardless – the Utes should take a nice step forward this year. It would sure be nice to be relevant again.

I want to know who voted 12-0. I’d like to drink some of their kool-aid.

When the football season ended last year and seeing the wholesale loss of players via the transfer portal and NIL my thinking was that Whittingham is going to go down in flames if he stays on for the 2025 season. The “family” mantra that previously provided some cohesiveness and uniqueness to the program is now irrelevant and would be laughable and a complete farce if they attempt to continue the theme. Someone needs to inform some of the new players that it’s The University of Utah, NOT Utah University.

Dampier is kind of small and seemingly throws to many interceptions. To me, someone is not a quarterback if they are not an excellent passer, like a baseball player is not a shortstop if they are not a demon fielding grounders. A coupled years ago it became obvious after a few games that Nate Johnson is not a QB.

I’m not going to let my rose colored glasses and media hype skew my thinking, either 7-5 or 6-6.
