Watching Kansas and Fresno state, I can only hope that Dampier is like Daniels. I know they are playing a G5 team but if he can be to that level, paired with our defense, I think we have an extremely successful year!

Man, that’s a big ask…when Daniels is healthy and with his head in the game, he’s one of the most dynamic QBs in all of college football. Not only that, but he’s one of those guys that’s been around FOREVER (since 2020) due to the Covid-19 exemption and that experience is invaluable. If Dampier ends up like Daniels then Utah could probably start booking a ticket to the CFPs.

Not seeing where Daniel’s is a world beater. Last year only averaged 204 yards per game passing and 439 total yards rushing, with 14 passing TDs and 12 interceptions. Yes, he had a good game today and his passing percentage was ridiculous, but is he the pinnacle that we wish for in Dampier? To me that’s not a very high expectation.

I just think we have been fed through a firehose this summer on how great he is. I truly hope he is that, but then watching ISU and Kansas State have such an ugly week 1 game full of turnovers and just sloppy play, I remember that football is a hard game. Daniels isn’t amazing but you could see his confidence and the trust his team had in him. Idk just a week 0 thought I guess

Kansas looks like a tough team. Of course, Fresno could suck and we’ll have many more data points before we play them, but that was dominant.

note to self: never overreact to week 1. Unless it’s Jaylon Glover putting up 7 carries for 28 yards against an FCS team which further proves that 4 star RB’s are a waste of time for Utah to recruit.
