I know it was already posted, but I think the fact that Utah won the NFL combine medals count is worth highlighting again. That is an incredible feat! You have to hand it to Kyle and co, they prepare guys for the NFL better than possibly any other program (it is particularly impressive considering Utah’s recruiting classes are not rated in the top 10 or even top 20). If I were a recruit that wanted to play at the next level (or parent of that recruit), you can be damn sure that this type of accolade would strongly resonate.
Naturally, one could look at the glass half empty and see the NFL combine results as disappointing because Utah did not win the south division despite having so much talent. I prefer to relish in the fact that Utah’s program does an outstanding job of graduating and preparing players for the next step in their career (whether the NFL or away from football). Proud to be a Ute.
As a side-note, I did not see USC as having received a single medal at the combine.
