iOS App v0.0.2 Rejected

  Just got word that Apple rejected the 0.0.2 version of the Ute Hub app. In this one added some schedules and rosters in-app, no connection to the site. Thought that might be enough to comply with their conditions but nope. I wasn’t expecting much so no big deal, other than UH members who own iOS devices are still SOL.
  
  Next update will include login/logout and posting/replying. I’ll keep submitting.
  
  Maybe I need to add a map to allow use of the mobile device’s internal GPS for people to find my tailgate or the Ute Walk. Something like that in order to provide an experience which can only happen on a mobile device…

  I’m wondering if you used APNS for notifications and alerts if that would be enough. It very well might be.
  
  The reason I say this, is that we released an app a couple months ago that is nothing more than a receiver for APNS notifications and a webview of our website.

    (Had to google APNS). It’s a thought. I will end up submitting 0.0.3 to the app store which will have login/logout and posting/replying and whatever else I can think of. Part of me wants to just say f’em.

    Definitely like the idea. Spend a fair amount of time on 247. Would be nice to have a category for it here.

    Not against adding another category, but if it’s football recruiting there’s a football category and so on. Then we would have posts related to football not in the football category. Thoughts?

  What’s irritating is they’ve approved the tapatalk app, right? Isn’t that just aggregating content from the internet? Their criteria for turning the Ute Hub app down:
  
  …your app only includes links, images, or content aggregated from the Internet with limited or no native iOS functionality
  
  I’d be willing to bet that if I included apple ads into the app, they’d approve it.

    I understand the frustration against a Corporation that doesn’t give two rats ass as to what you are trying to do. But remember, you are building a solid community here and this is one of those prices you have to pay sometimes to grow it.
