BYU 19-13 at the LES. It feels we can chalk this up to all of the errors/penalties we committed in the red zone that stripped our chances from blowing BYU out 42 to 13 and making a bigger statement. It seems that’s where national expectations were at anyway — a Utah blowout. BYU stock is very low. Any thoughts?

I think the biggest reason was the late start.  After midnight in over half the country and no upsets with teams above us.  Voters weren’t paying attention after TDS looked like such garbage against LSU.  We’ll be in both polls next week with a solid win against SJSU

Agree with what you said. We had an opportunity to make a statement with that game and showcase an improved offense on national TV (although I’m sure all the east coasters were asleep by kickoff).

Instead we couldn’t get out of our own way. I don’t think we deserve a top-25 ranking based on the product we’ve shown so far. That being said, if we can clean up the little things on offense, I am optimistic that we can make some noise later in the season.

If we keep winning, the ranking will come.  The only poll that matters hasn’t been released yet.

Score more TDs. Kick fewer FGs. We’ll be ok.
