There was an article in the D-News this morning about the bell from the USS Utah being returned to the Naval Sciences building. My profile pic is that mighty ship passing through the Panama Canal probably sometime before 1920.

sorry this is not sports related, but the bell is back at the U.

In life there are a few different categories of bucket lists. For WWII history I’ve visited/seen a few cool things. Got to see the pill boxes at Kwajalein, it is mentioned in the biography Unbroken. Amazing to see diesel engines from WWII just sitting on the shore.

Getting to go aboard the mighty Mo’ and see where Japan formally surrendered ending WWII. But probably the most incredible hallowed ground (or water) is the USS Arizona.
