I never hear any chatter about him.   When he first arrived there was so much buzz but since the season began it seems like silence.  Thoughts about his impact and future?

D line seems to be doing well but doesn’t it always?  I’m honestly curious about his perceived impact since it’s so quiet.  I could see Pease and Erickson’s impact because it was discussed weekly. *shrug*

Didn’t he do an interview recently where he stated he was happy being co-head and didn’t want to go anywhere because his wife would not follow him if he left again?

Something tells me he’s here for the long haul and isn’t concerned anymore with his own career trajectory just happy to help develop Utah talent and work with Kyle again.

I missed that interview.  BTW my question isn’t intended to be negative.  I am just curious since I often hear the other coaches mentioned.

I’m sure he’d rather stay out of the limelight and let the other assistants who want to further their careers get the credit.

The D-line is kinda quietly having an amazing year. Very good rush defense, better in sacks, Anae and Tupai emerging as DPOY level candidates, etc. I’m sure his influence is being felt all over the defensive side of the ball though, and come recruiting time he’s going to help out even more.

He wants Kyle’s job, and appears to be willing to wait.

FWIW, I’ve heard a number of interviews with both Whit and Scalley that mention how great it is to have Anderson around. Seems like he’s done a ton of “behind the scenes” work with the defense that is much appreciated, but not particularly public.

As long as he’s cool with the lack of a spotlight, I absolutely love having him involved.

Oh man. He’s awesome. He’s done so much for this defense. It’s great.

If/when Whitt retires, I’d love it if they can keep the rest of the coaching staff the same. Scalley as HC (which is a lot for me to say, because I’ve never been for that), Andersen as DC (or visa versa) and keep the offensive staff together.

      That would be beautiful.

If I’m not mistaken, he was instrumental in bringing that linebacker in from Penn state. That seems huge for next year. I’m excited to see what other recruiting impacts he can have. Having two successful p5 coaches on staff is something generally only found at the blue blood programs after one gets canned, and is almost always temporary.
