kwhitt sad history of recruiting top high school LB’s will come into play this season. Utes may need to pull players from other groups…. unfortunetly, safety position is pretty thin.
What are you smoking? Did we not just have two players recruited out of highschool, that played LB and just left to the NFL?
Honestly, if you look back over the PAC-12 era, we’ve had some pretty fantastic LBs. Kyle has no problem identifying, recruiting, and developing LB talent.
I’d also be willing to say that Utah has okay depth at the linebacker position. Its just unproven talent
At safety we have Blackmon, Burgess, Mataele, Hubert, Sewell, Rawls, Lowe, and Davis.
At LB we have Bernard, Lloyd, Carlson, Mata’afa, Lund, Fabrizio and most packages we run only have 2 LBs on the field. We have plenty of bodies and just need someone new to step up.
