  • We have a sole participant in first place for the Utah at Houston predict the score contest, LarryB. Larry predicted 17-13 Houston. Hats off to LarryB, but sorry he was so close to the actual score. For the win LarryB collects a cool set of Ute laser etched coasters from Light Line Design!

  • It is wild that people don’t realize the nuance of the current situation. Harlan made quite a quagmire of contracts and money. Yet we trust him to bring in the next great coach?

    Wildly idiotic and emotional.

I am guessing that you need to remake that matrix since BYU throttled UCF and Utah lost another game.

Part of the problem is NIL. Utah invested heavily in Rising despite his propensity to be injured. He was a decent college QB with no real future in the NFL. With that money spent they had to try and ride him. I also think the PAC (except Oregon) was vastly overrated and the records of teams that left reflect that. Wilson is a freshman and he…[Read more]

The Whitt/Ludwig/Rising Holy Trinity of dysfunction finally burst. They were still trying to duct tape it together and get back to pre 2023 offense. It starts at the top and then eventually works it’s way into the locker room. Program needs a flush and reboot. I fully expect Scalley to succeed and be that guy. Even though he’s been here through it…[Read more]

He’s had no real game reps. They’ll blitz the shit out of him, or whoever is playing and cause chaos. Our inexperienced QB (whoever it is) and o line won’t be able to handle it. We’ll score 7-14 points in the game, which won’t be nearly enough. It is what it is. I have no reason to expect anything different.

Who is responsible for this ongoing and worsening, by-the-day Train-wreck?

Astonished, shocked and embarrassed this once proud program has lapsed so quickly into such terrible shape!

I don’t think we can or will beat TDS. Yeah, it sucks, but it’s not because they’re great (although 8-0 is hard to do), but it’s because we have shown absolutely no ability to generate offensive production. Nothing we try works. Some pretty mediocre teams are shutting us down. I just don’t see where we can improve, do you? Maybe Bottari can…[Read more]

  • Anybody else remember Kyle giving Urban side eye because of his aggressive offense, play calling and go for it attitude?

We probably should have seen this 20 years ago. Kyle isn’t pro-offense, he’s way too conservative. He’s buying bonds while the stock market is pulling in 12% a year. In the short term everyone’s happy cause you aren’t losing…[Read more]

  • I’d say he’s not only mismanaged QBs, he’s mismanaged the entire offense during his tenure. Never should have brought back Ludwig, but he did it because they’re buds. What talented skill players would want to come here and play under this offense? Wilson is not the QB of the future, nor is Rose. We need to snag a talented QB in the portal and bri…[Read more]

At this point. I just want to see improvement. I want hope. Even if we lose our last 4 games. I want to see guys try, effort, the offense improve, some semblance of identification.

I am all in on playing guys for the future. But would love if we went all in to beat BYU. So hear me out why don’t we play Luke Battari. I am serious. He looked ok d…[Read more]

  • The future of Utah football is still in great hands. I know right now with how raw and ridiculously disappointing everything is, it feel like the program is completely lost. But it’s not. The thing about this day and age of college football is things can turnaround in a hurry. The NIL/transfer portal (which I hate) allows a coach with Scalley’s…[Read more]

  • Scalley should have been doing that the second he accepted the Coach in Waiting title.

  • I know from sources close to me that Scalley has been talking to at least one future assistant.

Does this mean that Whitt is going to hang it up? I don’t know that. But I think he should. He has lost this team and it’s very sad to see what has happened.

Scalley will have a lot of work ahead of him. Utah football is in a bad place.

I know we can all draw many conclusions with how dysfunctional this team is currently but any idea specifically what Bernard was referencing with his answer last night when asked if he knows why the season fell apart: “Can’t answer that. I’m not gonna answer that. I know what it is, but I’m not gonna answer that.” When asked for any more insight:…[Read more]

Get a quarterback that can throw to his receivers and not behind them all the time.

Fire Whitt! Best idea of them all.

  • Roy Hobbs started the topic Fix the offense in the forum Football 8 months ago

I’m just here to give you what I think Utah should do to fix this Offense.

Pay Tim Keane 800-1,000k(Bosie St.) to come in and coach the offensive line.

Pay Brian Johsonon 1.5-2k to come and be the OC. Let him choose the WR and TE coach from experience in the league and NCAA, 800-1,000k each.

    Thoughts?

  • The rate at which Utah wants to throw is alarming. It was like 40-50 pace if they could sustain drives. But they can’t so it turns out like it has.
