I dunno. You’d still have them (USC and UCLA) play each other every year (just like they currently play Cal and Stanford every year).
I think I’d be in favor of a weave. But the Big 10 took that approach a few years ago and it didn’t work. I’m pretty sure they’re back to an east-west model now.
