Guy strikes me as really down to earth and candid. I agree: don’t like either of the AZ coaches. My only beef with Sark is he’s a BYU alum and he seems to have the Lane Kiffin fall forward into a gig he doesn’t deserve thing going on.
Yeah, the pop-out client kept getting in a state where I could see other’s messages, but mine would never show up, or only after 5 minutes or more. I would close the chat and reopen it and it would usually start responding again.

No, the Oregon punter was the only one who went after Hobbs. Everyone else bit on the fake.
How much you wanna bet that Helfrich has them with their heads up during punt coverage practice from here on out? You can only pull that play off once, but it was gold.
You’re being wet blankety. Whether or not Oregon is a “top-25” team is now debatable, but it’s likely that they’re still an upper tier, or at least upper half, PAC-12 team. They still have a good shot at winning the North. Hell, they nearly beat a now top-5 MSU team on the road.
We didn’t just beat Oregon, by the way, we annihilated them. We beat them soundly in every aspect of the game in a hostile environment at their house. Do you not see the significance of this win over a perennial national championship contender?
Sure, we still have some good teams left on the schedule to play, and yes, some of them are probably better than Oregon is this year, but that doesn’t diminish our win yesterday. My gut says we have a special thing going this season, and it’s only going to get better. Try and enjoy it. Optimism is fun.
We are now 7-1 in our last eight road games, and the only loss was in OT. That comprises last season and this one thus far. Impressive!
Even when they beat us last year, I liked Mark Helfrich before this game and like him after. He walked out after the game and shared more words than expected with Whittingham.
Side thought, the only pac-12 coach I really don’t like is Todd Graham, Sark being a close second.
I thought it was OK.
Really, my only complaint I guess is that it is too short. Only about 10-12 minutes of actual air time per team.
If you’ve noticed the last few years this seems to be a pattern for byu football, getting tons of hype one week and then crickets the next. Last year was a perfect example. They start 4-0, are nationally ranked, the schedule looks both manageable and favorable for byu to go undefeated and sleep walk into a NY6 bowl or even sneak into the Playoff. Then Taysom got hurt and they lose to Utah State. After that: nothing. No more obligatory “Can byu actually do it?” segments on the college football shows. No more talk of Taysom for Heisman. Done. This year? ESPN can only do so much for byu before they play themselves out of the discussion. That’s what independence does for you.
I just wonder now if that same national media that was praising the TDS last week will take a step back now and realize that the TDS isn’t a very good football team, and their two ‘fluky’ wins against Nebraska and BSU were just that… FLUKES! I’m sure they’ll take being 2-2 right now but they should be 0-4 and I hope that piece of humble pie — shutout — sinks in a little bit?
Wait, what am I saying, they’re ZOOBS! Was just on SLTrib and one particular zoob was saying, “if Utah played them today, they would have lost too!” Zoob ‘think’ at its finest. Just like the Utes “would have lost to them” if only we had played them on a different day than the one scheduled. Haha…
BEAT OREGON and…
GO UTES!

Can’t believe how bad BYU got man handled today. I didn’t think they would win but a shut out was amazing. They were so excited about have a national spotlight on them today and wow did they blow it. Only thing that would make this day sweeter is a Utah victory.
