Big12 sucks!

Big12 is now 1-5 in bowl games. Poverty conference. 

My guess is TCU gets absolutely smoked by Michigan.

Agreed. The reason why BYU fans have to resort to spurned bitter Pac12 smack is because they have nothing else. Conference smack is lame – talking smack about Utah’s place in the hiercy of college football and recent success or how Utah dominated in-state recruiting or flipping BYU recruits or how delusional BYU fans are is so much more worthwhile.

I can multitask. I can tout Utah’s accomplishments while talking about the relative strength of conferences. 

I think it’s pretty funny when people try to be the fan police. 

If you don’t like the topic in a particular thread, just ignore it and move on.

Lol def not trying to fan police, post what you want. This was much more of a general statement – we just have so much more going for us currently than ‘conference smack’. 

But I do agree – overall Pac12 was a really good conference this year. Just, as per usual, lacks that one true dominant team.

Maybe that was the way the Utah/BYU boomer fans talked in the 1980s, but in 2022 it’s just dumb.

Meh, referring to tonight’s game Oklahoma (the 8th place Big 12 team) had 7 players sitting out and was a 10.5 underdog in essentially a road game. So considering all that, they played a great meaningless bowl game in a close loss vs. the 2nd place 13th ranked ACC team.  In others I’m aware of I saw Kansas played SEC Arkansas tight only to lose in OT, quite a feat for a basketball school.  Similarly Ok State, with their starting QB not playing, had a furious comeback to lose to Wisc by one TD.  Its not like they’re all getting blown out.  A better guage of the conference will come from when the top teams play.

This is why I like bowl season so much. It finally gives us a chance to gauge the relative strength of each conference. Admittedly, though, it’s becoming increasingly meaningless as players opt out of bowl games or transfer out.

Agreed, looking forward to seeing the top teams from each conference play.
