Bryce Love has decided to stay at Stanford for his senior season. Can’t say that I blame him, a degree from Stanford is a big deal. Just makes our schedule that much more difficult next year. We did a decent job containing him this season, but he gashed us badly once or twice.

Wow, I am surprised.  As much as they leaned on him last season he could barely walk by the end of the season and was still taking hits. I would think you would cash in now rather than roll those dice again.

      Staying for degree and/or Heisman?

Would be good to have another Heisman Trophy in the Pac-12

Man, that just took Stanford from 6-7 wins to 9+. Dang.

He can always come back and finish his degree. Make millions in the NFL for a few years then comeback.

Tuition at Stanford might be $1M per year by then.

I think they allow athletes a lot of times to return and finish their degree. Larry Fitzgerald did University of Phoenix and played at the same time.

I don’t think they get special schedules or easier go at it. I imagine it is more difficult.

Biology major, on the Deans List (iirc), plans to attend Medical School.  Returning for the senior season to complete the degree is the right move for him.

What’s crazy, is if he gets scholarship for med school, he’d probably make a lot more as a specialist than a end if roster NFL player.

        Good for him.

If chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) doesn’t get him.

Absolutely. He will have a 30+ year career as a doctor, vs a 3-5 year career in the nfl.
