The roster indicates that he is a senior. Hopefully we have a capable guy ready to step in. Long snappers are not given enough credit and are only noticed when things go wrong.

I did a little research on the backup, JT Greep. Apparently he was named the best long snapper out of the state of California coming out of HS. One website even listed him as a 5*. I had never heard of the website but, still cool I guess.

Any chance that he will get a medical redshirt?

I wouldn’t think he would for this season. Medicals usually are given to people who miss all or most of a season and have already burned their redshirt. Getting hurt in game 6 doesn’t really fit the parameters.

If he had another season where he could show that he missed the year due to injury it is possible, although he still couldn’t claim a redshirt this season.
