Times have changed as far as Utah football recruiting goes. We are a lot more picky about who we recruit. In 2023, we pass on a mid-3-star, legacy player. Bo Tate is the son of former Whitt player, Steve Tate. He plays linebacker for Corner Canyon. He really wanted to play for Utah and is ranked as a 3-star recruit. When he did not get an offer from Utah, he committed to Baylor.
I hate to miss on a legacy kid like this. However, we can afford to be more picky now and we are loaded at LB right now. Maybe Bo will go on a mission and we can pick him up in a few years.
