Saw a tweet out there saying Cam Rising is eligible this year. Anyone got any facts? @onlyU what say you?
He should be if they are granting everyone else’s eligibility. I hope he doesn’t need to see the field much this year, but it would be nice to have some decent depth with Shelley and Rising.
Rising already redshirted (2018), so it wouldn’t make any difference from an eligibility standpoint if he sees the field in 2019 or not. I just hope he doesn’t wind up seeing the field on account of backfilling an injury to a starter.
That said, in the unlikely event that he beats out Huntley in the Fall, he SHOULD start. And if not, if we’re blowing out an opponent, I hope he and Shelley get significant time.
GO UTES!!!
Have not heard the word “official” yet but chances are very good mainly because he didn’t play as a RS. Already sat out a year so to speak.
Tuttle…well I’m not going to expand but let’s just say the reasoning he listed on his application to transfer is complete BS…soft. That’s all I’m gonna say about that. Excited to have the 4 in the program today. Gamers!
What did Tuttle say was the reason he left? Just curious. Where can I find it?
He recently watched “Hoosiers” for the first time and decided he wanted to go play for Gene Hackman.
He said he was hazed so he had to transfer to get away from the abuse. It was the reason he used to get immediate eligibility. I hate to say it but that’s what happens when you recruit Socal QB’s. Bunch of entitled kids around here. Not all of them obviously but Tuttle fits that mold. I guarantee you would never see Jason Shelley, a Texan say that.
The Hazing went down like this:
Tuttle: Coach, let me in the game, I’m a 4 star recruit and played on a superior HS team in SoCal.
O-coordinator: No, you’re soft and will s**t your pants.
Tuttle: My dad says I’m transferring because of….hazing 😏
That’s pretty much exactly how it went down.
