ParticipantI am looking forward to going to my first Utah football games this season! I have never been before and could use some advice on when and where to buy tickets. I am not a Crimson Club member.
I plan to attend the Texas Tech, Arizona State, and Kansas State games at RES.
I will also be traveling to Morgantown to watch the West Virginia game.By clicking the “Travel” button under each game on the 2025 Football Schedule page, it shows some tickets on sale. However, there aren’t many and they are quite expensive.
Would I be best served by:
a) buying tickets now via the 2025 Football Schedule Page
b) buying tickets now via a 3rd-party platform
c) buying tickets later via Utah Athletics
d) buying tickets later via 3rd-party platformAlso, would you recommend joining the Crimson Club? I’m willing to shell out enough for decent seats (not super close to the front but around the midfield angle). Will those seats even be available to non-Crimson Club fans?
Plus, any other advice from the more knowledgeable would be appreciated.

KeymasterHard to say. If the Utes perform poorly like last year or two, you can find lots of cheap tickets getting dumped. There are no “USC” or “Oregon” type games that will be hot tickets, so I would think you should be able to find tickets to any game you want 3rd party or via the ticket office.
The reason one joins the Crimson Club is for the “privilege” of being allowed to buy season tickets.
I’m toying with going to the Wyoming game.

ParticipantTony, I hope that you’ll go to the Wyoming game. I’ll be there as I always wanted to see a game at the stadium that’s at the highest altitude in the US. It’s also within easy driving distance from SLC.

KeymasterBy the way, welcome to Ute Hub.

ParticipantI guess the electronic tickets have pretty much done away with the scalpers on the sidewalk?

KeymasterOh no. There are scalpers at every game. They’re usually somewhere between the tailgate lot and the stadium and often walk through the tailgate lot.

ParticipantJust wondering how this works with no printed tickets?
Also what about the steep discounts at kickpff time?

KeymasterI’m sure the scalpers have ticketmaster accounts. They probably do a lot of last minute desperation buys/sells. That’s my guess.

ParticipantA technique I used last season for Utah Hockey Club tickets is just drive to the arena about 30 minutes before puck drop and continually check the ticket prices on various apps. I got in to a handful of games for less than $20 a ticket.

ParticipantSince the tickets are not released to the holders yet, you are not going to find many options. Not many people willing to pay now and wait till Aug to get the tickets. You will probably see more listing once the season ticket holders received their tickets later.
There is a Utah Utes Fans Ticket Exchange on Facebook where you can find tickets at facevalue. The page owner willing to act as 3rd party for the exchange to minimize the chances of people getting scammed.
Places like Stubhub charge a lot for fees but you are protected from scammers.
