The players quit on Shelley because they want Huntley for 2019….
So the players decided to continue their streak of bouncing balls strategically off their shoulder pads and hands to the other team. I am confident Huntley will be able to lead us to a comfortable bowl eligible 7 and 5 next year.
Looked more like a running game could never get traction and it became easy for the NW DC to scheem against.
Right but they dropped balls for Huntley too…
Stop with the logic….I thought you opened champagne!!!
But isn’t it NYE? Admit it you wish you had some too
Lamest holiday ever.
I have an open diaper ready to go
Lol. Happy new year everyone. Its just sports. We may not be that good at it but its just entertainment after all.
Exactly. My comment was completely TIC not serious at all…not a shred of foundation or evidence to the contrary!! They QUIT ON SHELLEY!!
The thought occurred to me that Shelley seems to look to his high school teammate Dixon a little too often and maybe it irritates the other guys and/or they aren’t mentally ready when he does throw the ball their way. I’ve had the same thought at different times regarding Huntley and Simpkins.
Covey was Huntley’s favorite target…sure so yeah.
Him too.
Moss made a comment early in the season that really got my mind thinking this way. He said something along the lines of ‘when he first got back, I thought why is Covey such a big deal? He doesn’t seem like anything special.’ It was only after seeing Covey make plays in games that he realized Covey was a playmaker. I think there’s a lot of resentment from some of the other WRs that this 5’6″ white guy gets the ball thrown his way so much.
I could be way off on all accounts, but it sure seems to me like it could be the case.
Resentment from playmakers? I started this rabbit hole I guess but I don’t want to journey down it. Much bigger issue at hand if our players don’t like succeeding with evidence on the field. I can’t understand these drops though it is sickening.
Demari Simpkins (I think it was him) said something in the post game interview. He said everybody was yelling at Shelly in the second half, and put way too much pressure on him instead of telling him that they were going to help him.
Not sure what that means, but thought it was an interesting comment.
Coaching. How do you not control that s**t.
