Well, it is what it is. I know the NCAA is a private organization, and so i is BYU. They are each entitled to set their own rules for association under the first amendment, as long as they’re not accepting federal funding.
I certainly don’t understand the legal issues that well, but obviously any attempt to so this, would be met with legal action. Such a case would drag in for a long time, but it seems like it would maybe a precedent setting case.
Are Change.org petitions ever effective though?
