He was a starting safety for Stanford last season. This seems like a good get for our defense.
Nice! This 247 sports article says he’s played 519 snaps at Free Safety and 572 snaps at Strong Safety.

Is Stanford football a feeder school for Utah’s defense? I kid, but uh, we’ve done well there lately.
Yes, and the biggest reason is it’s insanely difficult to get into grad school in any Stanford department. They DGAF if you play football or not.
He was Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 this last year. Seems like a very nice get!
Man, our safety and CB room is getting a lot better.
CB: Snowden, Calhoun (a .90 freshman from Michigan), Johnson (.89 transfer from GT), and Vaughn who had flashes of greatness last year. Blocker was a commit from last year who was a .94 out of high school as well.
S: Gilman (transfer from Stanford), Hall (who looked really good in the bowl game), Ritchie (who the coaches love).
We are adding 7 CB/S freshmen as well.
And I haven’t mentioned Tao Johnson, who will start where ever he plays.
Feeling a whole lot better about the DB room. Seemed like that was a weak spot with NFL, transfers, etc. Now it is really solid with strength at the top and depth to deal with any injuries.
Great get. Should be to the safety room what Damuni has been to the LB room. Calhoun was also an excellent get. Essentially a 4-star CB who spent a year practicing with Michigan.
You’re gonna love the next announcement (or 2)!

Impatiently waiting, we got playoff goals this year
I’m checking Twitter every day. Can’t wait!
Can you at least give us a hint on when they may be announcing?
And if no hint on announcement date(s), can you tell us which side of the ball they play on? Offense or defense?
