It’s surprising, given her overall play. Oddly, her FT% has dropped every year (75, 73, 67, 55).

I wondered at the time if her missing those two free throws against LSU her sophomore year would mess with her confidence. Maybe it did with the 5% drop, but the 12% drop this year is something else.

Currently, the Women’s teams is shooting 75.3% for the season.

Starters are shooting 78.9%, which is impressive, given that Jenna Johnson and Maye Toure have shot 55% and 63%, respectively.

  • You have good points but two of them probably would probably need to be addressed to Yomark as Harlan has limited control. I’m not either of those guys (thank goodness, but I would like the salary) but I’ll take a stab at their replies (does not necessarily mean endorsement).

    1. @Laramie sucks but if you were in the PAC12 (RIP) ACC, or BIG 12,…[Read more]

  • Especially in a year with 5 Big 12 home games. I guess with home-and-home swaps, it just works out some years that we need to be away for 2 non-conference games. To have 7 home games, you generally have to be paying the other team or getting 2 patsies. But we generally have tried 1 patsy (Cal Poly), 1 G5 (Wyoming), 1 P4 (UCLA).

  • Team (worry 1-10, 10 being worried they blow us out)
@UCLA (6) – solid team, but it’s going to be more about if we get the offense clicking. we typically have slow starts and it is on the road to start the season. will be a REALLY good indicator of how the season will go
Cal Poly (1) – blowout, get the 2nd team in
    @Wyo (2) – mostly worried about…[Read more]

  • We don’t leave the state of Utah in October. What are we? SEC lol

  • Wyoming is just 2 hours up the road from me, so thinking about it, but already have a conflict that I have to consider.

Might go to Baylor as my Senior is planning on moving to San Antonio to work and live with bio-family for a little bit and could be a good time to visit and see how things are going/move her back home lol.

    Might drive to…[Read more]

  • There are only a few protected rivalries and Big 12 has always spread them out rather than put them all on rivalry weekend to try to get more viewership.

  • Utah White Outs (since Blizzard didn’t work to kind of match mountain hockey teams – Avalanche). Utah Squals. Utah Polar Vortex (or Vortices for plural). Utah Inversion Layer. Utah Raspberry Milkshakes. Utah Swag brought to you by Swig.

I’m guessing Mammoth wins out. Hopefully they have a secondary mascot Sid, chasing a nut.

  • I found Hockey Club less objectionable than the others until I saw the proposed logo.

I guess Mammoth is better than Outlaws. Both sound like minor league roller derby teams…

  • Freaking Big 12 takes soooo long. Last 2 years has been the last Tuesday of Jan, but nothing, not even an estimate of when it comes out. ACC came out this week. SEC and B1G put theirs out more than a month ago on Dec 11. Way to show how bad of a conference we are.

  • I think the OT from USC, CB from TAMU, DEs from Oregon and Washington, Punter from Mizzou, and WR from Miss St. + Nate Johnson returning fill out the roster decently enough with Dampier/Rodgers from UNM, RB from UNLV, and WR from Wyoming & Utah St. Still probably need a little more line and RB depth.

We had a few losses that hurt (Calhoun,…[Read more]

  • It’s like the useless stats of all-time records or ‘last time they met, they beat them by 40 … 12 years ago’. Now, the team is different every year. Sure, there are programs and systems and continuity of some players at some schools, but not much anymore. Most teams (even elite) have a different qb every year now, transferred from somewhere else.

After BYU: Hey, we are ok (except for FT)! Smith is getting it together and better than KY Jelly
After Houston: We suck again! Fire Smith!

  • I will love and appreciate Cam for the rest of my life. He was so kind to my daughter who was star stuck by him and remembered her months later at Fan Fest. Such a good guy. I hope for nothing but the best for him and his future. If he were to come back I’d welcome him with open arms. I hate that he’s ben derailed by injuries because we had the…[Read more]

  • It was good but we’re not here to win press conferences. My expectation is 6 wins AND win a bowl game until proven other wise.

  • If he does leave I’ll bet you see over 50 players hit the portal in Boulder. They aren’t there for CU. They’re there for Sanders.

As far as a new coach goes they have to shoot the moon. Urban, Saban, Kingsbury maybe Orgeron…after that you go after former NFL players in the coaching ranks.

  • Off campus venues are stupid.

Any venue should be able to expand/contract better while keeping noise levels up. A great 9k field house for bball is what is fitting in today’s market, but 15k for gymnastics is still viable. Not to mention other uses like concerts, graduations, etc.
