I’m not forgetting. Because they were undefeated going into the CCG, the committee had already decided that they would get one of the 4 spots. Things still had to break right but they got it. Had Utah not trucked SC in the CCG, SC would have been in over TCU.
Then you look at 2023 and there were indications that the committee was just looking…[Read more]

confidence may have been the wrong word but I don’t know what to replace it with. Both Brewer and Bentley seemed so afraid of turning the ball over that they wouldn’t put the ball anywhere near danger. Which was strange since both came in with the reputation of being gunslingers who would make something out of nothing.
Was that mentality…[Read more]

It’s the one negative when trying to project Scalley. You hope that since he has spent so much time in the program, it will be a smooth transition but I just can’t get past the fact that he doesn’t have experience (both successes and failures) with other schools and a rolodex built up over his career.
If it was easy to take over for a…[Read more]

I’m not sure there’s any margin for error this year. The narrative is already out there that the B1G, SEC and Notre Dame will get 9 of the 12 spots. It’s just going to be confirmation bias the rest of the way.
Utah needs to win the conference championship game to get in. Anything other than that puts it in the committee’s hands and they’ve…[Read more]

Brewer’s issue was that he didn’t have confidence. That will never be a problem with Rising.
I’m hoping it was just 1st game back after a long layoff issues. We’ll see in an hour or so.

small sample size and all, but.,,
Rising was missing when throwing to his left last week: high and behind on the deep in to Singer, nowhere near Singer on the quick slant that could have been a pick-6. Also was late and behind when moving his feet: behind Parks on drag route, late to Kuithe on swing route which gave neither a chance for…[Read more]

If two teams are tied in the Big 12 standings (conference games only), the following steps will be taken until a determination is made:
A – The tied teams will be compared based on their head-to-head record during the season.
B – The tied teams will be compared based on win percentage against all common conference opponents.
C – The tied…

They’ve been “setting that up” since Troy Taylor moved on. Until proven otherwise, WR’s being featured in a Ludwig offense is just propaganda.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic How realistic is it to expect a college QB to survey all of their options in the forum Football 10 months, 1 week ago
College O-Lines can’t be counted on to provide 3 or more seconds consistently in pass pro so college QB’s have no choice but to be one-read. OC’s help them out with formation shifts and motion to narrow down their potential targets pre-snap but for the most part it’s what you asked: option A, checkdown, make something happen with your feet.

why should the Tribe’s opinion matter when there are “well-meaning” people with no skin in the game who won’t feel complete unless they can be offended on someone else’s behalf?

The quote above was that Kuithe is a stud coming off a long-term injury. True.
Pt. 2 was that Utah doesn’t have receivers they should be scared of. To be determined.
There wasn’t anything in what was quoted that is anywhere near controversial.

Other than Utah fans stating that this receiver corps may be Utah’s best ever, what have you seen this season to tell you that Baylor fan is wrong?

I think he meant that Houston was one of the few teams that the parochial school is projected to beat this year. And that Houston wasn’t very good because they were – when he posted – losing to a UNLV team that played in the MW championship game last year.
