Reading through posts on the Auburn board, there are perceived issues with behavior and attitude, but here’s a kid that was All-Everything going to a team full of All Everythings and had trouble adjusting to that. This just has a feel of going one of 2 ways. Either the centerpiece of our team and maybe all All-League performer to being no longer…[Read more]

This could be the shooter we’ve been looking for. Recruited out of HS by Auburn,Kansas, UConn, Tennessee, Florida and at least 15 other D! programs. He was one of the players that got into a fight on the plane to Houston back in November, but I’m sure AJ has done his due diligence. Kids make mistakes. Some learn, some don’t. Hopefully this was…[Read more]

4 star recruit that started 16 games for Syracuse this year as a Freshman. Averaged 15.6 mpg and 5.6 ppg. 6’3″ SG who reportedly Kentucky was interested in also.

As he states, these are estimates, but this is just for transfers and doesn’t include what YBU and others are spending on high school recruits, Euros, and retaining current players.

Those are the same questions I’ve had. The G-League concluded March 29 so was hoping some good news that Andre might follow. One bit of news that dropped today is that Sharajvamts has entered the portal.

My guess, after commiting to Dawes, we probably don’t want to pay what Ausar can get.

Sorry for the duplicate post. M Ute posted while I was typing mine. Just a bit of caution on these lists that recruits or agents put out. There’s a lot of tire kicking going on and a big difference between being contacted and actually being offered.

Terrance Brown, a 6’3″ SG who averaged 20+ PPG at Fairleigh Dickinson. 2 years of eligibility remaining. sub 30% from 3 as it appears his game is more geared to going to the hoop. Almost 6 RPG and 3+ Apg. and a 76% FT shooter. One always wonders how his game will translate to BIG 12, but gotta trust the new regime.

Other news. Hunter Erickson is transferring to Hawaii for his final year. Best of luck to him. He should do well in the Big West.

Geez dude. Didn’t mean to get you so riled just by saying his D cold be better. A large majority, including me agree that he is #1 priority keeper. I would point out that having the highest defensive rankings on this squad is pretty low bar to clear. Relax, Im sure AJ will do the right thing. If KD doesn’t return, I’m sure it will because of…[Read more]

First off, KD is no KVH, which I doubt you were inferring. All I’m saying is if we want to compete in the Big 12 we need guys that can do what KD does AND play defense. Take a look at all the teams that were in the Sweet 16. With very, very few exceptions their lineups were filled with defensive tigers. And, for the record, I did say that I am…[Read more]

That was just pathetic effort in the 2nd half. I know there’s a lot of pro-Dawes sentiment and rightfully so as far as scoring and rebounding, but if AJ ball is going to be centered on defense, he won’t get any more minutes than what he was getting from Smith. I’m curious to see what AJ can do with Dawes, Ausar and perhaps Wahling but there…[Read more]

I see where Utes might still get a berth in the NIT or the new CBC that’s being held in Vegas. Eilert and Gabe both have said they’d love to participate. How’s everyone feel about that? Personally, I’d just soon call it a wrap and get started on the next chapter. Nothing against these guys, but they had their chance and it’s time to move on.

Fred replied to the topic Why is Jensen coaching the Mavs through end of year? in the forum Basketball (Men) 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Perhaps if and when the Mavs are eliminated from playoff contention (currently 2.5 ahead), the dynamics may change. So, root against the Mavs and pray they don’t by some quirk make an extended playoff run.
