OL rarely rotate except in the situations you identified.

Al also said, “The opposing QB must get hit and taken down”. Starts with Defense. That being said, if the Offense sucks again, 7-5 is a ceiling.

Are these programs lesser stature? Colorado, BYU, Gonzaga and SDSU have all done significantly more over the last 15 years than Utah has – at least on a consistent basis. In the last 15 years, Utah has two NCAA Tournament appearances. Colorado has six. BYU has eight appearances. SDSU has 12 (including a title game appearance). Hell, USU has seven NCAA appearances. If anything, Utah is the lesser-statured program of all those (+Gonzaga) I mentioned sans USU. So, despite being largely ass these past 15 years, the laurels of things they did nearly 30 years ago has kept them from getting pushed down to the MWC with schools like Boise State.

Honestly, if Gonzaga and BYU aren’t making the Pac-12 cut, why should Utah?

It feels like since this was heavy on region, the only other realistic option was the Pac-12 or MWC and both would still keep them at Power-ish.

You saying BYU is on par with Gonzaga based on the past 15 years? BYU was in the worst league with Gonzaga. Other than this past year when was the last time BYU made it past the first round of the tournament? No doubt an influx of NIL money has catapulted them in to national spotlight. As bad as Utah BB has been I don’t see any separation besides maybe last year and we split 1-1. Why is it after two years in the Big12 BYU fans think they have been relevant in FB and BB the past 15 years. Yes $$$ is buying them some better players and coaches. If you want respect you have to earn respect. Utah football has earned national respect. Cougars quit complaining about the Utes past success. Nobody outside of Provo cares!!

I never said they were on par with Gonzaga? But it’s undeniable BYU has had more success than Utah the last 15 or so years. Hell, it’s almost been a decade since the Runnin’ Utes even made the NCAAs. I don’t understand how anyone can look at what Utah has done the last 25 years and claim the program has a better stature than BYU, Colorado and SDSU. In fact, we’re probably equal to Colorado if you stretch things back to the start of the 21st Century and a step behind BYU and SDSU (not even getting into Gonzaga).

But this isn’t about BYU. I’m not sure why you focused solely on the Cougars when I mentioned Colorado, SDSU and even USU.

The fact is, Utah basketball has done absolutely nothing for most of the last fifteen years. But the question remains: if schools like Gonzaga (who has won a ton over the years), BYU and Colorado and SDSU for good measure, aren’t making the Power cut, why would anyone expect Utah to? There’s nothing about Utah’s placement in this that should be controversial.

I would hope they had more success. They played 3 or 4 tough games a year. Winning 20 games playing WCC competition does not make you a better program. Utah was playing a much harder schedule. Would BYU have done better than Utah in the Pac 12? To say BYU has been better the past 25 years is ridiculous. No arguement that Utah has been down but besides the Jimmer year I haven’t seen any BYU team that looked much better. Both teams have been irrelevant.

@BeachUte you’re missing the point. But I will play along because zoobs tend to forget history.

BYU overall basketball win % .629%. Utah .635%.

NCAA tournament appearances BYU 32, Utah 29.

Final Fours BYU, 0 Utah 4.

            Championships BYU 0 Utah 1(1944).

Ranking in the AP Poll preseason, Final and Weeks, BYU 6,13,159. Utah 9,21,239 weeks.

Utah has had a basketball program for 117 seasons and BYU has had one for 123.

I know the bubble down there in Provo deprives oxygen pretty well but remember, Utah has done more with its time than BYU in basketball. Sure, BYU is on a run right now because of some deep pockets. But dont forget that Utah was a basketball school long before it ever decided to play football. The basketball days will come back and be strong again.

            GO UTES!

Yeah, in 2023 the ticket office charged $25 extra to print paper tickets. Last year, they wanted $50.
      Very customer-unfriendly.

Maybe if they stopped changing\adding different apps every year and just worked on getting the current ones working.
