Where in the world is Caleb Repp? Dude is a player. He was one of the biggest bright spots last year in WR group (along with Covey and Smith). Is he hurt? In the doghouse? Holding him back for conference play?

I thought there would be no way he would go anywhere else, because of how it would tarnish his BYU legacy. It looks like BYU fans are dead set on destroying it anyway. Its quite remarkable. This one game – Utah v. BYU – is now single handily destroying the legacy of BYU QBs. Even QBs, like Taysom who have done more on their own for BYU then just…[Read more]

There have now been 15 rivalry games played since Lavell left BYU.
In the 15 games prior to hiring Levell, the results were 11-4 in favor of Utah.
During Levell’s time, the results were 7-22 in favor of BYU.
In the last 15 games (16 years) the results were 11-4, in favor of Utah.
Historically, this is normal and Levell, an all time coach, was…[Read more]

This game is no longer fun for me. I am not even looking forward to it and my excite for the season as a whole has taken a huge dip thanks in large part to this one week. It has nothing to do with my confidence or that I am scared to play BYU. It is all of the baggage that comes along with this game. It started to feel this way right around 2013,…[Read more]

Am I the only person who thinks this is good news for Utah. The spread is our weakness. We have shown year after year, that we can defend against a pro style. This makes the UCLA game a bit easier in my opinion.
Kirk Herbstreet started the topic How does everyone feel about Huntley pulling away from Cox as #2? in the forum Football 7 years, 8 months ago
Talk up on the hill right now, is that Huntley is playing with two’s. Is this good or bad?
I think its good in that Huntley will likely see some live game action this fall, which should help him mature as a player, and bad, in that he won’t get a redshirt year to learn and grow before being thrown into the thick of things.
What say you?

So with the season right around the corner (two weeks from tomorrow) who do you think will be the surprise player of the year (someone no one or few are talking about right now) and why?
As for me, I am going to go with Repp. We know something about him now, but I think he is going to be a top two receiver in terms of yards and TDs. He is big,…[Read more]

So BYU’s fall roster doesn’t include Sione Takitaki (best LB) and two starting OL (Johnson-LG and Wilcox-LT). If that holds up, they are in big trouble.
Kirk Herbstreet started the topic Less then a week away from Fall Camp in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
Fall camp is set to start a week from yesterday. It will be interesting to see how the position battles shake out. QB, OL, LB, WR should all have sufficient drama to keep me interested in what is happening.
I am particularly interested in hearing how Garrett Bowles, David L., our freshman DL and the WR core shapes up.
While I would never…[Read more]

Howdy all! After quiting the dumpster fire that is Utefans a few months back, I am happy to find a new home here during football season.
I have been thinking about college football’s future ever since the move to the PAC 12. I think there will be some pretty dramatic changes and that these changes will come in steps.
