A Pac-12 championship would sure go a long way. Damn, coming up on our 9th year in the Pac. Feels like a crossroad. Do we fall back like every other south division champ or secure a spot among the top of the conference?

Same reason we did not get Ty Jones or Puka Nacua. Look at our last two, productive, go to WRs. Covey and Carrington. Chronically injured. Why? That’s how you shut down our offense. Take away the go to WR then stack the box. If I’m Chris Petersen I’m telling Puka – wanna go to Utah and be the best WR on the team, by a mile … and get the…[Read more]

All of them except non conference. Nobody goes undefeated and anybody can lose to anybody, anytime.

What Texas has done has nothing to do with this person’s opinion of Utah. Does this mean I can’t be critical of Clemson?

Hey Eastbaycat99, halftime thoughts?

Born and raised in Miami, played for Miami, and it’s his dream job. He gone. This would be the equivalent of Morgan Scalley finding himself in a good job on the east coast and suddenly Utah opened up. He gone!

Dennis Dodd wouldn’t be surprised
Filed to CBS Sports: Until further notice, Miami is Mario Cristobal's to turn down. Complicating matters: He absolutely loves Oregon, it's easier to win at Oregon (no Clemson in the league) but Miami is a better job.

Mark Richt has decided to retire from coaching. Lot of chatter about this yesterday and late into the night. Here is his full statement. I believe Mario Cristobal is Miami’s No. 1 target. But Schiano, Butch, Mullen were interviewed last time. I’ll have more later. pic.twitter.com/8el7BaTj10

And Michigan scored 39 on Ohio State, so they must be GREAT!

If you compare the starting 22, Utah’s O-line averages about 5 pounds more per player; … The Cats Dline on average is a little bigger than Utah’s, as are the linebackers. … and so I really don’t know what his observation was based on.
I watched Michigan, Iowa and Ohio St.
NW Dline all wear number in the 90s. 99 is out, he was a 292lb slow…[Read more]

Not at all. We’re fine with Shelley, Shyne, Green and Dixon. Bernard for Chase. Let me had another hawt take. I doubt they score any points on our defense. That’s how lopsided I think it is.

When you watch Northwestern what immediately jumps out at you is their lack of size and speed. At first glance it would be easy to think we’re going to mop the field with these little dudes and … we probably will.
Given their lack of size and speed, they play exactly like a service academy. So much so, they look like one. Take away the cut…[Read more]

Coaching!!! I think most college football coaches would be jr. high and high school gym teachers as opposed to titans of industry leading and or building a highly successful business. If Meyer and Sabin were not coaches, they would be highly compensated leaders/visionaries elsewhere. Dan Hawkins? No.
I’m not knocking the profession of gym…[Read more]

A nation champion has never and will never be built this way. I know you’re not asking why we are not national champions but I’m leading with that to make my point. Every national champion has had a rock solid roster of at least 45 four and five star recruits. We don’t get that level of raw talent, so it must be built. Building talent leaves…[Read more]

No Rose Bowl wins since the 80s, very few 10 win seasons in their history. UCLA is not a football factory and never will be. Football will never be a high enough priority to do anything more than what they have always been. New boss, same as the old boss.

but now he needs to add some nastiness
This has been my concern from the moment he set foot on RES turf. I think this is something you either have or don’t have. I’ve never seen “nasty” out of him … ever. But, Cody has turned things around, maybe Jackson can too. I’d love to confuse him with John Cullen or Garett Bolles this year.

We are very far from one of the most experienced OLs in the country (90th of 130) and we are 10th in the Pac-12. We have a lot of returning starters but we have relatively few starts.
