Incorrect. That was USC these past few years, but it seems that they now realize their brand name alone and blueblood status isn’t going to recruit itself like it did 20 or even 10 years ago. No kid is gonna choose USC and no money over Oregon and 50k just because USC is a blueblood. USC started falling behind, but from what I’ve seen a few peo…[Read more]

  • 1) I don’t think Beamer, Stoops, or Fickell or on the hot seat.

    2) South Carolina has LaNorris Sellers and Kentucky has Brock Vandagriff. Not sure about Wisconsin.

That reminds me though. Vanderbilt loses Pavia after this season, so maybe Vandy. What also saddens me is that we may have even been able to sign Pavia if Cam didn’t come back. Tha…[Read more]

He’s too small and now quick (twitchy) enough to be a DE in our system. He is more of a traditional hard hitting LB that is obsolete in today’s gam, at least in our system. I think he could potentially be a good LB/EDGE rusher in a 3-4 system.

  • I agree, but I don’t think we would actually get anyone good with our current QB situation. Next year will be Wilson vs Huard vs Rose as the QB battle. If Rose transfers, I definitely say we should sign an unproven 4 star underclassmen, but not a mediocre starter like Madsen

  • It is simply not worth the risk to take cam back for us, especially with our limited NIL funds and then potentially driving away Isaac Wilson. I’d rather use that NIL money on rebuilding the WR and RB room.

  • These is just my opinion and could totally be wrong.

Top tier: Michigan and Notre Dame. Both are bluebloods with traditionally strong O-lines and they currently have bad QB situations, especially after this year. Plus, these teams also have similar offensive philosophies to Whitt, with the emphasis on a strong run game and a QB that doesn’t h…[Read more]

  • I think the most egregious thing about recruiting the RB position has been the size. Why in the world did they sign Stanley and Randle if they are such light players with WR/DB builds? Stanley is at least extremely fast and can be used as a WR/RB hybrid, but he will never be a true bellcow RB.

  • He would also have his pick of the litter. I guarantee a top priority for him would be having an elite OL. Notre Dame generally does. Michigan generally does and their current QB situation is pathetic. UCLA is a hometown team for him, but they are awful and they also play Utah next season. I would hope he doesn’t go there, not just for our sake, b…[Read more]

  • Not to mention risking further injury to Cam for keeping him out there. Whitt seriously has handled this situation in the WORST WAY IMAGINABLE.

  • 1) why are they mad that Money is getting playing time? Money is a solid player who knows the system.

    2) This is yet another reason why I’m really gonna enjoy Ludwig leaving when Whitt leaves. Having a complicated system for the WR’s to learn prevents your most talented WR’s from getting on the field. In this day and age with NIL and the Trans…[Read more]

  • Utah is worse than Army, Navy, Pitt, Indiana, Colorado, ASU, Arizona, Texas Tech, VANDERBILT, Boise State, UNLV, Illinois, all in the same season. Hell, I think 3-3 Cal, Sourh Carolina, and Florida would be favored against us.

  • I don’t understand it to be honest. When you have nutritionists and strength/conditioning coaches, and when you exercise a lot, it’s easy to lose weight and build muscle/speed. Not to mention that with his weight and level of activity (assuming he pushes himself in the offseason), his maintenance calories is probably 4000-4500 calories. It’s SIGNI…[Read more]

  • Which is funny considering that our DE’s are on average, on the smaller end of P5 teams. But yeah, Lander looks very slow and of course, there is the infamous picture of his neck/traps being ridiculously huge and looking like it’s morphed into a blob. LB’s these days are not the same as they were in Whitt’s days. They need to heavily emphasi…[Read more]

  • Yup, I was lowkey upset in December of 2022 when he didn’t make a decision to leave or come back.

  • how in the world did Pepa gain weight this offseason? In 2022, he was 345 and Whitt said he needed to lose 20-30 pounds I believe. In 2023, he’s halfway there since he got to 330. Now he’s 340? He needed to lose another 10-15 pounds, not gain it back.

  • The LB corp goes something like this in a 4-2-5 formation

    Barton and Reid

    Hall and Fotu

    Reynolds and Calvert

There is no 4th and 5th string unless you count walk-ons. Maybe if you take into account Damuni being injured, but we have been missing him since spring ball, so that’s drastically different than him getting injured midseason. Fact i…[Read more]

  • We would be completely lost lol. RB room is completely awful outside of Bernard. Side note, F*CK Glover for quitting this team. Dude could literally be the second string RB right now but he’s too much of a quitter and whiner to put in the work. I hope he transfers out. We don’t need a player with his mentality.

  • Are you talking about Jay Hill?

  • There are no 4th and 5th string’s playing. Also, the STARTERS are lacking fundamentals and discipline. Explain that.

  • Sorry, but this defense is pathetic. No wrapping up, Lander has regressed, the LB’s and DL are absolutely awful in QB contain and have been going back to 2022. I understand there are some injuries, but they play undisciplined and are lacking basic fundamentals. If Scalley can’t even coach the fundamentals, he has no business being HC, esp…[Read more]
