I have no clue how many games we will win. I honestly do not know how good we will be. Many talking heads are optimistic about our offense. We do have a great Oline as long as we stay healthy. Will this offense average 30+ points a game? I have no idea. Will our corners be able to cover the top wide receivers in the league?

Also, I really do not have a clue how good our opponents will be. It does not appear that there are any top-ten caliber teams in the league. I don’t think there is a team we cannot beat, but I don’t think there are many teams that can’t beat us.

I have a bad taste in my mouth after last season’s debacle. I need to see these guys play before I can start thinking about how many wins we may have in 2025.

I’m confused. One thread tells me that Dampier is getting 8 seconds in the pocket and this one is telling me how great the DLine is. To quote Sesame Street, “One of these things is not like the other. One of these things doesn’t belong”

I think that’s fair. But with a lot of freshman on that Dline, lining up against possibly the best Oline in the country, even staying competitive sometimes is probably a good sign.

It sounds like if we can hold on to our depth pieces for next year, we’ll likely have another really good Oline and an even better Dline.

8 seconds and the bull-ride counts! Whether literal or figurative, hopefully it’s a good sign of OL prowess or confidence, even against our D.

So why are the WR not getting open?

      Are the DB’s that good?

I love our Def Tacckle coach. He remains one of my all-time favorite players because of his amazing work-ethic. If these freshmen follow Luther’s example, they will be fine.

As an alumnus who doesn’t live in Utah, I hadn’t seen any of Dampier’s practice snaps, so I wouldn’t know how much time he’s actually getting, standing in the backfield. But as a former high school QB, I can attest that “time” is a different variable depending on where one is standing. From the sidelines, 8-sec is 8-sec. But from backfield, 4-sec feels like 8-sec!

Time speeds up when you’re on the field.

ah, great, now you ‘doomed’ us to a 9-3 season, losing a tiebreaker for the conference championship, and a Vegas bowl win giving a ‘close, but not quite’ uncertainty if 2026 will be just a little better … 😉

I’ll add a meaning to Dampier’s complimentary exaggeration:

He has incredible confidence in his O’Line.

      How about that one?
