We should win going away this Saturday

  With our defense and a Cal depleted offense – we should win this weekend and I suspect we will win by 15 – 20 points.
  
  BUT, wasn’t Wisconsin a 30 point favorite and their defense had only allowed two TDs in 6 games when they faced Illinois last week? Was Wisconsin looking ahead to the big battle with OSU the next Saturday? Are we in a similar situation? We have a huge game with UW next week.
  
  I am sure that Whitt and the rest of the coaches will do everything possible to keep the focus on the game with Cal. If we lost to Cal, the game against UW would have much less meaning. So, beating Cal is equally important to beating UW. Again, I don’t see us losing, but odder things have happened.

  Spread I saw was Wisconsin -30.5. I don’t think we’ll see anything like that this week, since 10 points from the offense is probably going to be enough to beat Cal.

  Last year we were looking ahead to a huge game with UW and we almost paid the price for it. The coaches and senior leadership of this team aren’t going to make the same mistake less than one year later.
  
  Also, the “huge” game against UW is only huge because it should be a tough game. A loss to UW would have the exact same effect on Utah as a loss to Cal would. So really, every game from here on out has equal importance and no game is any bigger than another. The team knows this and they won’t be looking past Cal.

    Yep we pretty much need to win out.
